Living in Flores island, especially in Maumere is very a great opportunity for me to know and experience their culture, also their traditional. Here i would like to share about the traditional food which is wogi.
Wogi is the local food of Maumere east it is made of a fresh small fish mixed with lime/ vinegar. That is one favorite food that i like to eat.

My favorite local food is "kue rambut". Kue rambut is made of rice flour, sugar, water, oil, and salt. How to make kue rambut is very simple. Other than, it also tastes crunchy and so sweet. Don't forget to taste it while you are in Maumere.

I'd like to eat local food, because it is supports the local economy.😁😂 So,.....my favorite local food is "lekun".
It is made from black sticky rice, grated coconut, sugar, and ripe banana. All the ingredients incorporated into a bamboo and burned it. The taste is a little bit sweet, and soft. This food commonly, served with coffee and tea. So, you must try this food if you come to Maumere one day.

My favorite local food is "hui wu'u". It is coming from Bajawa dialect. Hui means pork fat and wu'u means corn. It is the local food of Bajawa people. Hui wu'u is preserved pork that has been cut and mixed with corn flour, and salt and put inside the bamboo. Hui wu'u can also be stored for some months. If we want to eat hui wu'u, just removed from the bamboo and fry with papaya leaves until it cooked and ready to be served.

I'd would like to share about my favorite local food which is " serabe". Serabe is one of typical cakes of Manggarai people. Serabe made of rice and very easy to made it. Actually Manggarai people soak the rice for two hours then dried it, and after that grind it to become flour. And the other ingredients are brown sugar, baking powder, and water. Then mixed it and after that shaped and fried it until gets brownish, the taste is sweet.
